Walter Vincent was born on July 18th, 1986 and raised in Staten Island, NY. This native New Yorker started his entertainment career when he was very young from doing Jim Carrey impressions during the day to creating and interacting with imaginary worlds in his basement (being Indiana Jones & trying to escape the massive ball that was chasing after him). His family knew he had a gift to make people laugh and he wanted to find something where he could do just that and then some...if he could only get off his ass.
As adolescence came, he slowly forgot his Jim Carrey impressions and his imaginary worlds and replaced them with hanging out and sports. After an unfortunate football (didn’t even play a game…hysterical) accident in high school, Walter decided he wanted to look for a more productive & creative outlet to showcase his talent because he certainly wasn't going to be wearing a Giants uniform anytime soon.
Knowing his grandfather Edmund Avis, a talented trumpet player who played with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to name a few, was a musician, Walter decided to invest his football camp money in a bass guitar. He soon fell in love with his destined passion and he started countless bands when he was younger with neighborhood friends. With everyone being too scared to sing, Walter was forced to step up to the plate and it wasn’t pretty. Even from the beginning, Walter was known for his stage presence so it seemed logical for him to put down the bass altogether and pick up the microphone full time as well as a singing teacher.
Walter Vincent grew into a composer, songwriter, lyricist, musician, and vocalist over his young adult years. His current alternative rock project Hollywood Hangover was the vessel that sent him into the world of acting. After a performance, Walter was offered the part of Judas in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. He always wanted to get into acting but didn't know where to begin. Opportunity knocked on his door and he excitedly answered.
From there he decided to minor in theatre/music at Wagner College in Staten Island to develop his talents even further. He eventually found himself studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre to learn long form improvisation. He is aiming to further train at the UCB but is currently training at the Stellar Adler Conservatory.
Walter Vincent's main objective in his career and in his life is to simply "entertain". He has a strong passion to help people with his God given talents whether it be through a role or through a song or simply his blog, he is grateful that he has the privilege to do just that. His future career goals and aspirations are aimed to intensify that privilege to the umpteenth degree!
"Live with passion & be grateful for everyday! It's that simple!"
